This week as been a whirl wind!

So a lot of "stress" has happened this week.

We'll start with #1

Lily was eating her lunch, and I just finished giving her the last bite of baby food, I turned my head to clean up. The next second she is screaming her head off, like bloody murder! So turned and she had her hands on her face. She pulled her hands down and there was A WASP! on her cheek. She brushed it off and I flipped out! I grabbed her out of her high chair and flung the wasp off the tray. Then I noticed the stinger was still in her cheek!! So I got my tweezers and pulled out. (Note: not supposed to do that, you are supposed to flink it out by your finger nail or use a credit card, as I was told later.) So then I called the emergency room, cause I orignally thought it was a bee, and as I have never been stung, I had no idea if she was allergic. They told me what to watch for and the critical period would be 15 minutes if she had any breathing difficulties or swelling of her tongue or throat. Then it would be up to two hours till we were out of the clear. So skipping her nap (which made for a cranky baby) I had to sit and watch her. Well, after I had removed the stinger, she went on as business playing with her toys. Not phased at all by this tramatic terrifying experience. Her cheek turned red and barely swelled. The next morning her face was a little swollen but not too much. *phew* I was so happy that it was #1 just a wasp #2 Lily didn't care #3 we didn't have to drive to the emergency room or call 911.

These two pictures were about 15 minutes after the sting. She didn't even care. I put ice on it and also a baking soda paste which the nurse said would help sooth it.
This is the next morning. Poor baby. The swelling went down after a couple of hours.

Ok, news #2

I GOT MY JOB BACK!! HA HA HA HA!! I went into the Animal Clinic and told my manager that I was willing to come back full time (which I'm not totally wanting, but she won't accept part-time anymore). So there, we are going to get money again! Yay for Doritos, yay for clothes, yay for toys!! Yay for travelling without having a heart attack looking at the gas bill!! Hopefully I remember everything and not get too far behind in all the new stuff. We are switching over to a electronic filing system, so I'm crossing my fingers I can catch up. Plus I am looking into taking some internet classes for Vet assisting.

and Finally news #3...

I FOUND DAYCARE! All this in the same week...*sigh*

Today we called Childcare services and they gave me a few numbers. Plus I called some references. I found a lady that just moved here this year that has been doing daycare and she said she was interviewing for a 1 year old position. So we talked with her and automatically clicked with her. She is probably a little bit younger than me, not sure. But she has two kids, 2 and 4. She is super sweet and very easy going. Her house is beautiful and looks perfect for having kids around. And its not too far from the Animal Clinic so that'll be perfect. yay.

So there ya have it. Life is starting to feel right again. I hope everything at work goes well and I can handle being a working mom. Wish me luck!
